WOOD WINDOWS AN overview

Most installation are retrofit.  The old frame is left in place and the new window with its exterior 1 3/4 inch flange covers the exterior siding.  However some home owners prefer to have the old frames removed.  And in some applications, such as when the original windows are a jalousie, their bulky, wide frame ought to be removed rather than cover with a vinyl trim .
